Overview
The Serenity Sisters Program Lead develops transformative daytime programming for Muslim women aged 25–45, creating structured pathways for spiritual growth, community connection, and holistic wellness. This role involves designing and executing 8-week educational cohorts combined with regular Fem Fit wellness programming that addresses the unique needs of mothers, homemakers, and working women seeking deeper Islamic knowledge and sisterhood during daytime hours.
Key Responsibilities
Design and facilitate 8-week Islamic education cohorts covering diverse topics: aqeedah, fiqh, tafsir, personal development, and contemporary women's issues
Develop and oversee Femme Fit wellness programming integrating physical fitness with Islamic principles of health and self-care
Recruit qualified instructors and guest speakers to deliver specialized content within cohort structure
Create safe, supportive learning environments where sisters can discuss sensitive topics and build genuine relationships
Manage registration, communication, and participant engagement throughout cohort cycles
Build leadership pipeline by identifying and developing assistant facilitators from program participants
Track completion rates, participant feedback, and program outcomes to refine offerings continuously
Expectations & Commitment
Time Commitment: 12–15 hours per month (cohort sessions + Fem Fit + planning + coordination)
Reporting: Direct report to Programs Director with quarterly program assessments
Strategic Planning: Submit 6-month programming calendar including cohort topics and Fem Fit schedule within 30 days
Curriculum Development: Create or curate high-quality Islamic educational content appropriate for target demographic
Professional Development: Attend quarterly volunteer training sessions
Success Metrics
Maintain cohort enrollment of 20+ sisters with 85% completion rate
Execute consecutive 8-week cohorts without gaps in programming
Sustain weekly Femme Fit attendance of 15+ participants
Develop assistant facilitator team of 2–3 sisters by month 6
Achieve 90% participant satisfaction ratings on content quality and community experience
First 90-Day Priorities
Launch inaugural 8-week cohort with clear theme, reading materials, and discussion framework
Establish Femme Fit programming with consistent weekly schedule and qualified instructor
Build participant database and communication system (WhatsApp, email updates, resource sharing)
Create registration and intake process for cohort enrollment
Develop resource library and reading lists for cohort topics
Identify potential assistant facilitators and guest speakers for future programming
Systems & Tools
WhatsApp groups for cohort communication and community engagement
Google Forms for registration, feedback collection, and topic interest surveys
Google Drive for shared resources, reading materials, and cohort content
Scheduling system for Fem Fit sessions and guest speaker coordination
Attendance tracking for both cohorts and wellness programming
Ideal Candidate Profile
Strong Islamic knowledge with ability to teach complex religious concepts accessibly
Experience facilitating women's educational programming, study circles, or spiritual development groups
Understanding of challenges facing Muslim women aged 25–45: motherhood, career, spiritual growth, community isolation
Excellent group facilitation skills with ability to moderate sensitive discussions respectfully
Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple program components simultaneously
Passionate about holistic development integrating spiritual, intellectual, and physical wellness
Age 30+ preferred; life experience and Islamic maturity that builds trust and credibility
